Ogura exhibited at the 19th Mechanical Element Engineering Exhibition at Tokyo Big Site (June 24th ~ 26th) . Under this year’s theme, “Connecting the world with Motion Control”, Ogura showcased its various products, such as industrial clutches and brakes and their demonstration machines.
　These demo machines and various “cut samples” attracted attention of the attendees and were good tools to explain their usefulness.
　It was a successful show; thank you.

The Japan Machine Accessory Association (JMAA) held the 60th anniversary ceremony at Hotel New Otani on May 27th. President of Ogura Clutch, Mr. Ogura who is its longtime board member accepted an official letter of appreciation from the director for Ogura’s contributions to the development of association for over 50 years.
　JMAA conducts surveys on production and distribution, conducts research on technologies and safety issues, and facilitates standardization of equipment used in industrial machinery such as metalworking machines, non-metalworking machines, and so on, so that the machine tool industry in Japan may be further developed, while contributing to the growth of the economy and the national standard of living.

　Due to opening of a new plant in China (Changxing County) and resulting evaluation of plant’s operation, Ogura’s subsidiary in Wuxi City relocated to a new location.

The exhibition was held on March 12th~14th at Pazhou Complex of Chinese Import and Export Commodities Fair. Ogura has exhibited at this show since the 7th.
　Ogura exhibited automotive air conditioning clutches, lawn mower clutches,industrial clutches, micro-clutches, roots blowers, racing clutches,aviation precision parts, elevator brakes and so on. Ogura booth also had company introduction video, illustrations of various products (particularly coils for differential, which was introduced for the first time at the show) on rotating panels. Ogura promoted itself to the attendees that it is a comprehensive clutch brake manufacturer.

On February 19th at Tokyo Dome Hotel, 2015 Sanden Global Create Future event was held,and Ogura received the Supplier of the Year. Among 1,600 Sanden suppliers,this award was given to the supplier that globally contributed to success of Sanden in terms of QCD. Ogura’s “short term & midterm cost improvement”,VA/VE proposal toward target cost”, “start-up of new coil-less clutch with plastic pulley” were highly praised by Sanden.

　Keidanren believes that corporations bear responsibilities to be useful entities in the society by adding values through fair competitions and that they must contribute to the economic development by such means as creating jobs. This means corporations must carry out their social responsibilities with the highest sense of ethics toward creation of connected society,respect the human rights whether here in Japan or overseas, abide by the related laws and regulations and international rules and the idea behind them.
　Ogura engages in business activities according to this principle.

　An Awards ceremony was held on October 30th, 2014 for the companies in the city of Isesaki that contributed to the growth of local economy. Ogura Clutch was recognized again this year for its continuous business of automobile air conditioning clutch related parts with Sansen, Co. and Marunaka, Ltd. located in the city of Isesaki. In the quest for superior engineering, quality and delivery with consideration for the environment, Ogura Clutch continues to contribute to the growth of the industries in the city of Isesaki.

　In July, Ogura showed products at the Techno-Frontier Show 2014.
　This is the first time that Ogura exhibited at this show, so there was quite an interest in Ogura’s line of holding brakes, and tension control systems.

Ogura’s subsidiary, Toyo Clutch, Co., LTD. was recognized by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as the top 2014 superior supplier. Award ceremony was held on June 24th, 2014, and a crystal ornament and certificate of recognition were awarded to Toyo Clutch.
　The company produced the highest amount of cost reduction among Mitsubishi’s Refrigeration Business Division’s suppliers in 2013. Also its cost reduction activities, such as development of new sub-suppliers in China, received recognition.

　With the opening ceremony held on May 29th, 2014, Ogura’s third plant in China, Ogura Changxing commenced its operation.
　The plant is located in Changxing County in Zhejiang Province (about 100miles west of Shanghai). The site are is 23,738 m^2 (25,5514 ft^2), and the total floor space is 6,438 m^2 (69,298 ft^2). The number of employees is 79, including Japanese staff of 6. 
　Initially it is going to produce industrial products, such as elevator brakes, servo motor brakes and brakes for industrial motors, but automotive air conditioning clutches will be added to its product line later this year.
　This is the first time for Ogura to make industrial products and automotive air conditioning clutches at the same plant.
